Elsword Online is an action oriented side scrolling 2D MMORPG that is a ton of fun to play and while it may look a bit similar to other side scrolling action MMORPGs, it still manages to add in a lot of features that give it a unique identity of its own such as the brilliant co-op modes and the appealing anime-esque graphics.
Instead of classes, Elsword Online features characters for you to pick from. There are a total of 9 different characters each with their own specific skill-sets and this large amount of characters makes sure that players find at least one character that is according to their preferences and playstyle. It doesn’t just end here however as each character can later on specialize in one of three different class jobs for example the Elsword can become a Magic Knight, Sword Knight or a Sheath Knight. This class specialization feature gives the game a ton of depth and also motivates players to create multiple characters to try out each of the specializations.
The gameplay of Elsword Online is extremely fast paced and fluid, everything takes place in an extremely smooth motion and nothing feels even the least bit clunky. This also makes the game slightly more challenging since players will have to react a lot faster to situations due to how quickly attacks go through but at the same time this challenging gameplay makes the game a lot more fun as it is extremely satisfying to take out your enemies in a duel where you barely survive with a sliver of your health.
One key thing to note about Elsword Online is that the game has a pretty well implemented plot in the game and therefore most of the quests you’re assigned throughout the game are tied in with the plot of the game. The story of the game unfolds at a really nice pace and completing story oriented quests gives players a nice sense of progression as they play through the game.
Going further, Elsword Online is definitely a good looking game. While yes there won’t be any high resolution graphics to see since this is after all a 2D side-scrolling game but the game still looks really nice. The colors are really bright and synchronize extremely well with the anime inspired art style of the game. The ability/skill animations look really cool as well to add onto this.
As for cash shop content, there’s an array of items available in the premium item shop to get your hands on such as power boosting potions and different kinds of gear for your character. The good thing here is that the power enhancing objects from the cash shop only provide a temporary boost and the majority of other items are purely cosmetic.
Elsword Online at first glance might seem a lot like most other side scrolling MMORPGs but there’s a lot more than meets the eye and it is overall an extremely well designed game. Elsword Online Resumen
